The Basics of Growing - Time to Remember All we really need is the pure basics that often get overlooked or twisted into something so complicated that we loose our aim. The fact is the basics work, and we all know this; just need a little help remembering why?
When we first start training we stick to the basics. We get a little bigger, we feel a little more advanced and that is when the progress starts to dwindle. That is because as we start feeling more advanced we begin to use weird and wonderful routines from muscle magazines and take the advice of the big guy down the gym as we aim to make working out more interesting as we pursue our goal of getting bigger. But if we are trying to get bigger then we all know we should stick to the basics, yet we fall guilty every time.
Every body is different, so one way of doing something may not work for you as it did for the next person. That is why a lot of these ready made routines for the gym and diets don not work as they are not tailor-made for you as an individual. Only you can assess your body and your time commitments. Only you can create a routine and diet specific for you based upon your own analysis of your body. For example, some people might need as much as 8 sets per bicep, where some as little as 3. No one is identical, so you need to be assessing your progress and tweaking as you go along while trying to understand your body.
So if you are that guy who works hard trying to improve their physique but who can be easily influenced by a 3rd party and starts questioning your own knowledge at the drop of a hat then you need to stop and remember! Simply put, you know what to do and that is to go back to basics where you need to eat big, lift big and rest big!
